Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name, a case number, or a date into a search box on this site, that text goes to the outside provider that runs the tool. The provider processes the query and returns a result. We do not keep or log the terms you type.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we keep the message so we can write back. It stays with our team. We do not pass it to anyone outside our organization unless a legal obligation forces us to.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page here loads, our servers record a few technical details about the visit:
- Which pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The browser you used and its version number
- The type of device and the operating system behind it
- The IP address your device was assigned
- A timestamp for each page view
- The website that referred you here, when there was one
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies, which are small files your device stores so we can see how visitors move through the site. They tell us which pages draw the most interest and where readers tend to leave. Analytics services help us turn that traffic into aggregate numbers. You can block cookies through your browser settings at any time, though a few parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping pages loading quickly and the site running
- Routing your search request to the partner service that handles it
- Learning which pages help readers and which need another pass
- Finding and repairing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may reflect your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. We publish general guidance about where Muskegon County court records are kept and how to check them, naming the 60th District Court, Circuit Court Records, and the Sheriff's Records Division. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or files on third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes here belong to outside companies. Anything you type into one of those tools is handled under that partner's own privacy policy rather than this one. Those companies decide how long they keep data and who they share it with, and we have no say in either. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to Michigan court pages, county offices, state statute pages, and third-party search tools. Following any of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then governs your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity across sites in order to show interest-based ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not on ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information can reach the following:
- Search partners that process the queries you run here
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place the ads on our pages
- Courts or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We follow ordinary security practices to protect what we collect. No internet service can promise perfect safety. We take reasonable steps, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Michigan law and the state's open-records statute, the Freedom of Information Act, 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 to 15.246, give residents a route to inspect records that public bodies hold, subject to the exemptions in the statute. For information held by this private site, you can ask us to:
- Correct details that are wrong
- Send you a copy of what we hold about you
- Erase your data
- Stop certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy can change. When it does, the new version replaces this page and carries a fresh effective date. Come back if you want to track how we handle visitor information.
